While 36 race clubs supported Ben Sulayem, whose presidency is marked by controversy, Sainz expressed his belief in the need for changes within the FIA. Sainz affirmed his passion for motorsport and commitment to improving mobility, thanking supporters for their encouragement as he steps back from the FIA race.
